Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
yuval.guide is a personal, free educational site. We believe everyone should be able to read and use it, including people with disabilities, and we work to make the site accessible in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (5758-1998), the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments, 5773-2013), and Israeli Standard (IS) 5568, which is based on the international WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.
What we have done
- The site can be operated with a keyboard only: all menus, links, and controls are reachable and operable without a mouse, and a "skip to main content" link appears on keyboard focus.
- The site is responsive and usable on mobile devices; text can be resized with standard browser zoom without loss of content.
- The site offers light and dark modes, and respects your operating-system preference.
- Pages use semantic structure: proper headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Content images include alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Interactive controls (menus, buttons, the theme toggle, social links) carry accessible names for assistive technology.
- Content is available in English and Hebrew, with correct language and text-direction markup for each.
- Animated/interactive learning tools (such as the IP Packet Flow animation) are operated by standard buttons, can be paused and stepped manually, and the same material is explained in plain text on the page that hosts them.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:
- The site uses an open-source theme and some third-party embedded content (such as ads served by external providers) whose accessibility we do not fully control.
- Some older content images may have incomplete alternative text; we fix these as we find them.
- The interactive animations are inherently visual; the accompanying text is the accessible alternative.
We are continuously working to improve. If you encounter a page or feature that is not accessible to you, please tell us and we will do our best to fix it promptly.
